V Hope Farm Rangers
v Hope Farm Rangers 23rd September
Goalscorers : (Martin,Al-raifi,Edelman)
''Football is a cruel game'' so the saying goes but Sunday's result was crueller than cruel. What a pulsating, exciting and thrilling game which witnessed tension to literally the last second of the game. All parents must have been proud of each individual player - I must say I really felt as if that first victory was on its way - certainly in the second half there seemed to be one winner only - another goal from Youssef followed a quite superb corner goal from James Martin and Rohan tucked the third away with some aplomb. Really pleasing first performances from Rohan and Tim and some outstanding performances from Dan Catford, Elliot Mazzotti but Man of the Match this week was James Mottershead.

v Nomads
V CHESTER NOMADS SUNDAY 16TH September
Chester Nomads came top in the crossbar challenge game - well done!!! They hit the bar 5 times.
Excellent first performances for McAuley and Kieran who strengthened the Wasps team, who put in a spirited performance. Youssef deserves the plaudits for another well taken goal as he takes a slender lead ahead of his fellow striker. Anybody else welcome to join in!! Today also saw the return of James Fletcher or Fletch as he is warmly known or is that to distinguish him from Motty and Martin???
MAN OF THE MATCH - James Fletcher
Excellent teamwork at the start saw shirts, shorts and socks provided from dads and whilst it caused a slight delay - Kieran looked the part!
Boys we are going to win - we made further progress today and once we get the first victory, we will start to believe in ourselves. Fill yourselves with confidence for next week's game at home V Hope Farm. KO 1230 - meet at 1200.
Nice to see Phil Motty at the game today making his first appearance on the sidelines - where you been big Phil?
Training at 5 again this Friday -

Sunday 16th v Nomads Home
U13 V Blacon Queens Field Waverton
A pulsating first half saw Waverton on top for spells and Youssef Al-raifi not only win the ' hit the crossbar challenge' but also manage to put in the rebound for a well taken goal! A perfect example of the old adage ' always follow the ball'! Despite one or two goals from the opposition it was worthwhile watching Elliot go past the defence and whilst desperately wanting to score himself, heeding the advice from the sidelines to cross the ball for the on rushing Lewis who scored with his head!!! Similar to a young Ian Rush or should that be Graeme Sharp??
Many positives to take from the game lads - we scored two good goals, some real good performances.
MAN OF THE MATCH; DAN CATFORD a battling performance, never gave up and constantly won the ball and tried to use it.
TRAINING 5'o'clock at The Queens Field in preparation for the next home game v Nomads - finish 630ish.
