A PULSATING end to end match with Waverton dominating the first half from start to finish missing a number of chances to go in front before cruelly losing the first goal to Rossway. Waverton came back strong in the second half and took the lead with two quick goals from MOM Andrew Lewis. Rossway weren;t finished and came back once again to level before Waverton went once again in front with Andrew Lewis notching his hat trick. An exciting finish saw another equaliser before Waverton continued to press for the winner.

That was the official report but we are on our own site so we can tell the truth!! We should have thrashed them, were all over them and they should never have been in the game! A top competitive game between two good sides who played open and attractive football with chances at either end. The scoreline does in no way reflect the excellent performance but at 3-1, Waverton took risks to try to get back into the game but conceded a further two goals. Excellent performances but a well taken goal from Adam Goldthorpe earned him a man of the match award.
 
A pleasing performance if not disappointing result.
