v Rossway

Whilst the score line appears to be close the performance was a lot clearer and straight forward as the previous victory. Waverton controlled the match and despite putting the result in doubt by allowing Rossway some hope, the performance was measured and controlled. A marvellous hat trick by Motty with three wonderful finishes and exceptional performances from every member of the team. The individuals components have understood that it is a team game and as a team they can enjoy this victory and it would therefore be unfair to single anybody out.
A tight first half finished 0-0 but the half time talk was made easy by the fact that the team showed the desire to finish the job off. It was a joy to hear the opposition arguing amongst themselves and have a ''Fergie style lock in'' at the end not appearing for the three cheers bit or swapping team sheets - rest assured that next time they will be ready for the new found confidence of this team. Let's enjoy the moment for what it is worth - a well earned victory and a bench mark of the progress the team has made to date.

Attendance: 2 King Charles, envious looking Vicars Cross U15s, various girlies, embarassing parents(one who was heard to shout Love you..........) one chairman and various passer bys
